Lobbying the ruling party to have a national advisory body for ECD, and this was achieved by having the Co-ordinating Committee for ECD
Lobbying the ruling party to have a policy for ECD, and the White Paper No 5, on ECD is the result

Acquiring a national tender from the National Department of Education to advocate the importance of ECD to communities from Cape Town to Messina
Lobbying the Department of Education, SADTU, and other stakeholders in education to recognise ECD Practitioners as Educators through the Government Gazette of August 2000

Hosting the first ever OMEP World Council and Conference in Durban at the International Convention Centre
Acquiring a national tender, SISEKO MOTHEO, from the National Department of Education, to train 4 500 ECD Practitioners towards a full qualification at level 4 on the NQF, the first ever training in ECD of its kind, with a pass rate of 90%

Hosting the first ever awards ceremonies for ECD Practitioners and organisations in cooperation with the ABSA Foundation and the Sowetan newspaper
Receiving national recognition together with the Child Welfare and National Children’s Rights Committee from the Presidency of South Africa, for its contribution to enhancing the rights of the child on 10 March 2006

Co-facilitating the five year report around the status of the child in South Africa, to the United Nations, with the National Children’s Rights Committee
Having built, developed and equipped over 200 ECD Centres in previously disadvantaged communities, with OTIS Elevator company, ABSA Foundation, Kindernothilfe and the National Lotteries Distribution Trust

Participating as a regional coordinator for the DSD National Audit on the infrastructure of registered ECD sites.
Annually training over 80 learners towards the Level 4 ECD qualification ID: 58761

Receiving recognition from the South African ECD Awards Steering Committee and the Minister of Social Development for consistency in lobbying and advocacy in the ECD sector
Registering 200 ECD Centres as Partial Care Facilities in partnership with the ETDP SETA

Conducting skills programmes in all nine provinces in Understanding the Amended Children’s Act and Managing Finances in partnership with DSD
Conducting National and Provincial capacity building workshops on monitoring the implementation of learning programmes aligned to the National Curriculum Framework (NCF)

Assisting ECD Practitioners with a Provident Fund in partnership with NBC Holdings and with Public Liability Policies in partnership with Outsurance
Commenced training using e-learning on a group of 100 learners towards the Level 4 ECD qualification ID: 58761
